If you’ve never seen The Phantom of the Opera, “Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular” is an excellent introduction to an enchanting and haunting tale.  The abbreviated, Vegas-style version is sure to delight casual theater goers, as well as those new to musical theater.
The Las Vegas Phantom features incredible props, fireworks, stunts and tons of special effects, and the enchanting plot of the Gaston Leroux novel remains firmly in tact.  Despite the shortened length of the traditional musical theater production, all of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Charles Hart song from the traditional Phantom music score remain.
You can see Phantom in Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel in a custom-built theater designed just for the performance.  World-renowned designer David Rockwell headed up the theater design and members of the original Phantom production team including director Harold Prince give this version a truly authentic feel.
While this shortened version of The Phantom of the Opera might leave long-time Broadway fans longing for what’s missing, the Las Vegas Phantom is the ideal way to experience the show for the first time.  Even Phantom connoisseurs will be impressed with the special effects, including one incredible chandelier.
